Hale Construction Services Inc is a full service general contractor who are fully licensed and fully insured. We are able to manage all aspects of your next project, from a custom home or addition to a single custom cabinet. Our speciality's are remodeling, restorations and custom carpentry

General Contracting

For Remodels, Restorations, Additions and New Homes. We manage the project by coordinating with the architect, subcontractors (for services we don't provide) and assist with decision making and budgeting. We will see your project through from start to finish

Design

Thinking about a new deck or kitchen but not sure where to start? Thinking about a built in wardrobe or entertainment center but not sure how it will look in the room? Our design services will provide you with complete scale drawings of what you new "addition" will look like when completed. Save money and time by having it drawn before you start construction

Restorations

Hale Construction is one of the only companies in Western Massachusetts with a full woodwoking shop. We can match or compliment any and all of your historic homes details. We can even produce new wood double glazed windows to exactly match your homes existing windows.

Carpentry

From foundations up to the roof, carpentry is what puts everything together. The carpenter builds the forms, frames in the floors, walls, stairs and roof. Anything is possible, and Hale Construction is one of the few companies that can build traditional details such as eyebrow dormers and timbers with true mortise and tenon joinery.

Decks

Looking to add or improve your outdoor spaces? Hale Construction can build you the deck of your dreams. We are experienced in creating details like built in benches and planters or private spaces for hot tubs.

Siding & Energy Efficiency

Hale Construction keeps current on the state of the art envelope design. We understand and can implement rainscreen designs and installation, we can improve on air-barriers and implement advanced insulation in deep energy retrofits. Our trade partners can further improve your energy efficincy with alternative heating and cooling systems. We believe that being educated in the current and traditional theories and ideas of building helps to choose methods that are sustainable and will stand the test of time.

Windows & Doors

Windows and doors are very important to the feel and the weather resistance of a house. Hale Construction can repair many old sash windows and, if they are not repairable, can find and install new windows that will match the old look. Custom windows and doors are possible, as are vinyl, aluminum, fiberglass, and clad options (wood with a waterproof or water resistant covering on the exterior). Special attention is used to ensure the most up-to-date integration of the window with the siding and flashing necessary to ensure a leak-proof installation.

Built In's

We believe that built-in furniture is a lost art that really should be brought back. From china cabinets to window seats to bookcases, built-ins can make a home special, unique, comfortable. They also serve very well to increase the size of an otherwise small house. Fill up those awkward spaces with something unique, usable, or just fun. Why not bring back the telephone alcove?

Fine Finsh Work

Want all hardwood mouldings ? want something other then the paint or pine mouldings you see at the home center? We work with a variety of millwork suppliers and have the capicity to produce many moldings in house. What ever you can imagine, Hale Construction can do. From simple Arts & Crafts style packages to ornate built-up crown molding, wainscotting and mantles, Hale Construction can transform the look of your homes interior or exterior

Green Building

We have always done all our work with a “Green” focus on: quality, sustainability, indoor air quality and energy efficiency before the term "green" was popular. Green products are difficult as many are very new, some are actually old methods recycled, and some are just shams. A truly green building is one that is efficient in its use of materials, thoughtful in where it gets those materials from, knowledgeable about how the materials are installed, and produces a building that needs the least maintenance and energy to remain comfortable. If a home is not comfortable, the inhabitants will spend time, money, and valuable energy trying to make it comfortable, but if the underlying design and structure are poor in design and construction, no amount of money and energy will make it a truly good home.
